The new office is located on the outside of the City Center, next to the Cobra Museum. In this sustainably built office, customers can experience an office formula newly developed by ABN AMRO in practice. The new office in the Stadshart is a pilot office where ABN AMRO tries out newly invented solutions and technologies. That is why the office has a flexible design.
Issos, in collaboration with Koppes Bouwkunde, took care of the complete renovation and furnishing, from the concrete shell to the beautiful end result.
During the renovation, energy-saving measures were taken throughout the building. Recycled materials were also used as much as possible. This circular approach results in great things. For example, people walk into the office on a tufted floor mat made from empty PET bottles and recycled yarn from Urker fishing nets, among others, and the wall panels are made from old pallets from all over Europe. The insulation used in the metalstud partitions consists of 100% recycled Dutch paper waste. The office floors were previously located in gyms and gymnasiums throughout the Netherlands. The free-hanging ceiling islands are covered with 40% Herdwick wool and 60% Texel wool needle felt. The Amstelveen office has energy label A.
Various offices and meeting rooms have been set up on both the lower and the attached upper floors, often transparent and suitable for various meetings. In addition, there are various workplaces, suitable for more privacy-sensitive work. An impressive custom staircase made of powder-coated bare metal connects the two floors.
The outside of the office consists of meter-high glass panels, allowing for beautiful natural light. The entire office therefore exudes light, air, comfort and professionalism.
Yes, we do that regularly, for example in museums! We have extensive experience with structural requirements, additional permitting processes, and respecting original features during renovations or transformations. The bigger the challenge, the more rewarding the work!
We consider routing, acoustics, sightlines, materials, and maintenance. Everything must not only look good but also be logical, safe, and durable in use – especially in sectors such as government, culture, and airports.

Sure. We regularly work in construction teams with external architects, contractors and consultants. We coordinate our role flexibly: from interior construction alone to taking care of the entire process.
No. We also take on smaller assignments and sub-projects with the same care and professionalism. Think of reception areas, pantries, meeting rooms or custom solutions where quality and detail are important.
Turnkey means that we take care of the entire process: from engineering to planning, execution and aftercare. One point of contact, one schedule, one result. No separate links, but one sleek whole.
Yes. We have our own production in-house and work with a permanent group of high-quality production partners. We engineer, plan and coordinate everything — including production, installation and delivery. This is how we guarantee quality, planning and a high level of finish.
Because we contribute ideas from practice to the practical feasibility of a project. We often see where bottlenecks can arise and how to prevent them — technically, financially or architecturally. This way, you prevent delays and failure costs.
