In the merger of the municipalities of Geldermalsen, Lingewaal, and Neerijnen, Issos played a key role in the transformation of the West Betuwe town hall after winning the tender in November 2022. Until recently, each of these municipalities had its own town hall, which was consolidated into a single location following the merger. The municipal council chose to give the existing building a completely new appearance. This project is a showcase of our expertise in blending modern innovation with the original character of the building.

Expertise
The renovated town hall, now a model of sustainability, circular construction, and energy neutrality, meets modern requirements and aligns with the municipality’s housing vision. This vision includes flexible workspaces suitable for both on-site and hybrid working, as well as a new staff restaurant located in the covered former inner courtyard.
The interior, designed by cepezed, reflects a harmonious balance between past and present. From the reception desk to the meeting room counters, every piece of custom furniture contributes to the new identity of the municipality. Issos has created an environment that not only respects the building’s history but also embraces the vision of sustainability and accessibility for all residents.
Collaboration with the Municipality of West Betuwe and cepezed during the mock-up phase resulted in furniture that is both functional and aesthetically aligned with the unique character of the town hall. The final result is a seamless integration of comfort, functionality, and modern appeal, turning the building into a true “home” for the community.
Issos is proud to be part of this project, honoring the rich history of the municipality and its residents while taking a step forward toward a sustainable and future-proof environment.

Turnkey means that we take care of the entire process: from engineering to planning, execution and aftercare. One point of contact, one schedule, one result. No separate links, but one sleek whole.
Yes. We have our own production in-house and work with a permanent group of high-quality production partners. We engineer, plan and coordinate everything — including production, installation and delivery. This is how we guarantee quality, planning and a high level of finish.
Because we contribute ideas from practice to the practical feasibility of a project. We often see where bottlenecks can arise and how to prevent them — technically, financially or architecturally. This way, you prevent delays and failure costs.
